ECONYL® REGENERATED NYLON
The majority of our collection is produced using an innovative Italian fabric that is composed of 78% of ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated Nylon fibre made from nylon waste otherwise polluting the Earth, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring, and industrial plastic rescued from all over the world. It is infinitely recyclable. The result is a super soft, breathable fabric that is twice as resistant to chlorine and lotions as standard lycra.
For every 10,000 tonnes of ECONYL® raw material, the manufacturers are able to:
SAVE 70,000 barrels of crude oil.
AVOID 57,100 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions.
AVOID 57,100 tonnes of CO2 eq. emissions.
As well as being a solution to waste, ECONYL® regenerated nylon is also better when it comes to climate change. It reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil.
WASTE NOT
We are sowing the seeds for a sustainable future.
Our hang tags are printed on paper made from post-consumer waste and embedded with Black Eyed Susan seeds. This means that you can plant them in your garden rather than bin them. Simply place the hangtags in 1/8" of soil in a sunlit area, water generously and watch them bloom.
We are passionate about using zero plastic in all of our packaging. All purchases come in a cotton drawstring bag for you to re-use.
We ship all our items in postage satchels that are produced from plant materials by the amazing people at The Better Packaging Co. This means they are 100% biodegradable and can be placed in your compost bin or worm farm.
